Catholics from the Diocese of Raleigh will head North to see the Pope this week.  100 Eastern North Carolinians will attend the papal mass at Nationals Stadium in Washington DC. And another 50 will go to the mass at Yankee Stadium in New York. The coveted tickets were awarded by random drawing. More than 800 parishioners applied. Frank Morock is a devout Catholic and a spokesman for the Diocese of Raleigh.

"When a pope visits a country, it does inspire and enthuse Catholics, especially those who might have fallen away from their church to re-look at their church, especially when they hear the message of the pope."

This is Pope Benedict XVI's first official visit to the United States.
