A Wake County jury has convicted former state lawmaker Thomas Wright on three felony counts of fraud. Wright was found guilty of using his political influence to obtain a bank loan for one hundred fifty thousand dollars. Jurors also found him guilty of pocketing charitable contributions to his non-profit. The Democrat from Wilmington was sentenced to a minimum prison term of almost six years. Laura Leslie reports.
