NC Drought Down on the Farm

The state’s worst drought on record may be on its way out, but many North Carolina farmers are still feeling the effects. Economists estimate farmers lost 500 million dollars in 2007 alone. So, local farmers are trying to be better prepared for the next drought. Innovations don’t necessarily have to be fancy or new-fangled. For some farmers, it might be a matter of three simple p’s. Jenny Gold has the story.
