It’s been a little more than a month since James Oblinger resigned as chancellor at NC State University. The controversy surrounding the hiring of former first lady Mary Easley continues. A federal grand jury is investigating the circumstances of her employment.
Meanwhile, the NC State campus is trying to move forward with a new leader. Jim Woodward is the former chancellor at UNC Charlotte. He’s well-known among administrators and elected officials, but many on campus in Raleigh are just getting to know their new chancellor.
