Last month, the North Carolina community college system banned undocumented immigrant students from seeking degrees from any of the system’s 58 campuses. That means an uncertain future for thousands of undocumented students who may have considered colleg. Dave DeWitt profiles one such studen. For the purpose of the story, we’re not using the student’s real first name, to protect her identity.
