Eve Carson was remembered yesterday as a student who embodied the spirit of UNC-Chapel Hill. The student body president and Morehead scholar was killed Wednesday morning. She was 22 years old. Thousands of students and staff members attended two memorial events held on campus. Dave DeWitt was there, and he found a campus community struggling to understand why such a promising life was cut tragically short.
