Wright update: Closings underway

After testimony from House witnesses wrapped up this morning, Thomas Wright's attorneys Irving Joyner and Doug Harris declined to present defense arguments. They also waived their right to open the closing arguments.

Special Deputy AG Alex Peters opened with a summation of the evidence of campaign finance violations. Special Dep. AG Bill Hart is wrapping up the rest of the case even as I write this.

Joyner will have the opportunity to follow.

After that, the panel will debate whether there's clear and convincing evidence as to the seven counts of misconduct still under consideration.
