Well, most polls in NH don’t close till 8, and hey, there’s only so much you can say about a) predicted record turnout, and b) rumors that some precincts ran out of ballots. So it’s always interesting to see how the newsnets are filling their time.
CNN’s Wolf Blitzer is talking to a pundit panel about the dissing Obama’s taken from the Clintons in the last couple of days. The former President called Obama’s campaign a “fairy tale,” while the would-be president complained that Obama was “comparing himself” to MLK Jr.
On MSNBC, Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews are quibbling with
Clinton White House veteran Dee Dee Myers about Clinton’s vulnerability and how badly this
year’s frontloading may have screwed up the primary process. Myers is seriously arguing that Clinton wasn't the frontrunner - let alone "inevitable," right? - for the past few months.
On Fox, Brit Hume’s panel is talking about McCain’s resurgence, beating up on Romney and Clinton, and speculating about who’s off the slate after tonight. A Fox election day poll (not an exit poll) shows the GOP race too close to call:
- McCain 35
- Romney 34
- Huckabee 12
I'm happy to report NPR's own coverage won't start till 8, thereby (one hopes) sparing us more of this blather. More when the numbers roll in...
