It's like the first day of school down here. There's food everywhere, dressed-up kids, even a folk music trio brought in by Sen. Joe Sam Queen. House Dems held about the shortest caucus meeting ever. Everyone's headed upstairs now to find a seat.
Those that don't find one won't be left out, though -- both chambers have set up overflow rooms with video links. The House is up in the 3rd floor auditorium. The Senate is down in their J-committee room on the 1st floor. Both are already filling up.
If you can't make it down here, but still want to watch the swearing-in, you can catch it on UNC - NC (one of their digital channels) - they'll be transmitting the House live at noon, and running the Senate tape immediately after.
