Wed.: At Obama

I'm sitting cross-legged on a press riser, watching the auditorium fill up. The stage, too - there're about 60 people sitting in chairs on risers onstage. I'm sure some of them are local luminaries, but most just look like regular folks.
A woman three rows down has a hat festooned with Obama bumper-stickers. Points for style.
The atmosphere is...happy. Not keyed up yet, just pleasant. People are talking to each other, taking pictures of each other, milling around the coffee stand in the lobby. Scores of volunteers are on hand to keep things running smoothly.
The podium just got rolled out.
