Update on "Beer Money"

Re Perdue's comments on the "beer and party money" quip: Richard Moore's campaign emailed me to point out that Perdue's sons would have been 16 and 13 in 1993, so it may have been difficult for one of them to have been at Carolina at that time. (One hopes they weren't yet in need of beer money, either.)
To be fair all around, here's the exact wording of the quote:
Comments? Drop me a line."I deeply regret the words. I was speaking perhaps in reference to my own son, who I think was at Carolina during that year. I may have gotten a bill and was annoyed with him. But I am sorry that I said that. It was ill thought-out, and obviously I didn't know I'd be running for governor at that time and have it thrown back at me."
