In case you're wondering why there's no audio coming from Senate Approps in 643, they've delayed the start of the meeting till 10:00am. I don't know the reason, but it's probably got something to do with an amendment or two.
Update: Yes, it's an amendment - rumor has it Sen Tony Rand slipped in a special provision to force counties with more than one school district to consolidate. Buncombe Dem Martin Nesbitt is said to be most unhappy about that, and I hear he's working up an amendment to strip it out.
