Rowan Co. Prosecutor Bill Kenerly tells the AP’s Gary Robertson he’s hoping to decide by February whether former Governor Mike Easley will face state criminal charges.

The N&O’s Rob Christensen takes some of the hot air out of the 2010 Senate race.

Rage, Inc.:  Greensboro’s Mark Binker offers details for Saturday’s Raleigh Tea Party/Anti-Illegal-Immigration double-header.

The N&O’s Alan Wolf has the goods on tomorrow’s not-terribly-secret Talecris announcement.

Dome breathlessly reports that the Edwards’ haircut item was planted by Obama’s oppo team (!), but fails to mention that plantee Ben Smith, not Dome, broke this story.

SEANC staged a protest tonight at a fundraiser for House Dem leader Hugh Holliman. They’re opposed to S287, the State Health Plan “reform” bill Holliman championed. When I passed by at 5:30, about 5 people had turned out.  (To be fair, it was a rainy, windy 46 degrees.)

NC Association of Realtors President Tim Kent announced today he’s stepping down after nine years at the group's helm. The press release makes no mention of more time with the family, in case you were wondering.

And NC's Progressive Democrats are calling on the state party to clean up its act.
