If things weren't already crazy enough around here, Basnight just announced the Senate will adjourn - "hopefully for the year" - Friday.
That's a big problem, since the House is already scheduling committee meetings and votes for this coming Monday. (They CAN adjourn separately, since it's not sine die. But if one house leaves, the other can't get things done.)
Sne Majority leader Tony Rand has moved an adjournment resolution, SJR 1109, onto the calendar for a 1:30 vote. This caps off a morning of slapstick procedural meltdown on the Senate floor. And to top it all off, Twitter is (mostly) down today due to a Denial of Service attack. Sigh.
I'll keep you updated here as the two chambers figure out when they're actually going home. Stay tuned.
