Sunday Roundup, Easter edition

It's a short one this week, but hey -- there's eggs to be dyed and peeps to be eaten. Happy Easter/Passover/Spring, everyone!
Good Reads
Greensboro’s Mark Binker and the N&O’s Rob Christensen have head-to-head stories on the 2010 Senate race. Christensen’s story is more of a profile of Burr, while Binker’s is more of a wonkfest with really good wonks.
W-SJ’s James Romoser posts a very nice profile of senior Senate budget chair Linda Garrou.
Fay-O’s Paul Woolverton reports momentum is building behind S64, a Senate proposal to require motorcyclists to take a safety class.
VA-Pilot’s Catherine Kozak says budget cuts are doing away with arbitration programs at many NC courts.
Yay! Puppies!
The White House finally gets a dog. WaPo’s Manuel Roig-Franzia has a great tongue-in-cheek account. The official announcement wasn’t scheduled till Tuesday, but with a puppy around, the White House had better get used to the occasional, um, leak.
Related: NYDN’s David Hinckley offers an entertaining take on the breed's history. Also: former House Speaker Newt Gingrich gets grinchy about the story. Oh, for cryin' out loud, Newt -- ease up.
Peep Show
At the Washington Post, it's the third installment of an Easter tradition -- proving once again that Beltway folks have way too much free time on their hands.
