More than twenty-four hours after the announcement, media pundits are still rehashing the potential implications of the Palin Pick. But out in the wilds of the interwebs, they're having a LOT more fun with this.
I'm not sure where the whole "little known facts about Sarah Palin" meme got started, but it's probably an offshoot of the similar Chuck Norris meme. It got started yesterday afternoon and took off like wildfire. It's even got its own site: Palinfacts.com, which the Chicago Trib says is run by a Republican operative.
It's taken over Twitter, too - Palin was the #1 Twitter subject at 1pm today.
Some examples:
- Little Known Fact: Sarah Palin doesn't need a gun to hunt. She has been known to throw a bullet through an adult bull elk.
- Little Known Fact: Sarah Palin fishes salmon by convincing them it’s in their interest to jump into the boat.
- Little Known Fact: Sarah Palin will send Biden a pre-debate cheat sheet. The sheet will have tips on defending against Kung Fu Death Grip.
- Little Known Fact: We don’t know who would win in a Chuck Norris - Sarah Palin cage match because they’ve never invented a cage that can hold Sarah Palin.
- Little Known Fact: Sarah Palin is Getty Lee's voice coach.
