This just in - the AP says Attorney General Roy Cooper has scheduled an announcement at 2:30 pm today at the RBC Center in Raleigh. (Guess he's expecting a few folks to show up.)
Meantime, CNN is reporting this morning that sources close to the case say charges will likely be dropped.
WUNC will have full coverage, both of the announcement and community reaction. And I'll keep the updates coming here throughout the day.
