It's been a quiet week in Lake Wobegon. Ruffin Poole didn't have much to say, the lifers' case is still hung up in the courts, and documents in the LEA case keep dribbling out.
I spent some time at the Wake County SPCA, reporting on its pet food pantry. If you missed that story, it's here. You can find more info about the pantry at the SPCA website. It's a donation-supported program, so if you're looking for a local charity to help this holiday season, keep them in mind.
(And yes, if you're wondering, that's a real picture of our kitten, Gus, who takes tree trimming very seriously.)
