An hour after caucusing started, MSNBC is already calling the GOP race for Huckabee. Hmmm. True, IA Republicans don't engage in the same second-choice horsetrading IA Dems do, but it might be a little early yet.
Still, at this hour, Huckabee appears to have trounced Romney by double digits.
MSNBC also reports 60% of GOP caucusgoers tonight described themselves as born-again or evangelical Christians - a turnout rate that's about 150% of their actual representation within the party. So there you go. Social conservatism isn't anywhere near dead in '08, no matter what the pundits say.
Dems are still too close to call - and since IA's system is weighted slightly in favor of rural areas, it'll be awhile before the dust clears on that one.
