Michael Rank, a North Carolina singer-songwriter profiled Thursday on Morning Edition, opens the program at 6 p.m. "I truly couldn't be more grateful and excited to be part of this outstanding concert series and tonight's event," Rank said.

Chatham County Line

Chatham County Line, veterans of the On The Lawn stage, follow with their mix of contemporary bluegrass stompers and ballads. Their seventh album, Tightrope, was released in May by North Carolina-based YepRoc Records.

Tonight's concert kicks off the 10th anniversary celebrations for the establishment of American Tobacco in Durham.

"Tonight's finale of Back Porch Music on the Lawn 2014 is also the kick-off for an entire weekend of celebrations marking the 10th anniversary of American Tobacco’s rebirth." Valerie Ward, Marketing Director, American Tobacco Campus continued, "Sunday, September 7 [is] our free anniversary block party, 1-5 p.m., across the street at Diamond View Park."

The American Tobacco Campus is located at 318 Blackwell Street in Durham, NC.
