Special Trips And Offers Abound On The First Day Of Spring 2013 Fund Drive
The WUNC Spring Fund Drive kicked off April 25th with a number of special offers and thank-you gifts in addition to the stock (but nonetheless marvelous) tote bags, t-shirts and CDs. You'll hear details about trip drawings - to Paris and New York - when you "tune in" online or on the radio. If you pledge before the drawing concludes, your name is entered into the drawing.
And, Before We Go Any Further...
WUNC is a trusted source of reliable information and entertainment. In this day and age with the various budget uncertainties, your support right now to WUNC is vital. So we’ re asking you to step up, make a pledge, and help ensure the future of this station. Thank you for pledging online or calling 800 962 9862!
The iPod With Something Extra - Thursday Only
For the last several drives, WUNC has conducted drawings for iPods loaded with "The Best of WUNC and NPR," full of programs, podcasts, and memorable stories worthy of repeated listening. This spring, the iPod will also feature 70 songs from Merge Records. Merge is a North Carolina-based independent record label that distributes top indie-rock and alternative artists like Arcade Fire, M. Ward, She & Him, Superchunk, The Rosebuds and many others.
Listen to selections from the Merge Sampler (includes Arcade Fire, Mount Moriah, Hospitality, Superchunk, The Love Language, and She & Him):
Listen for details about how you can enter this drawing. Remember, while drawings are time-limited, no pledge is necessary to enter any WUNC drawing, and current WUNC sustainers are automatically entered into this and every WUNC drawing.
Attend An Intimate Pre-Concert Performance & Interview With The Indigo Girls
Before their concert at the North Carolina Museum of Art, the Indigo Girls will take part in an Last Motel interview at Manifold Recording Studios exclusively for WUNC donors! The interview will be followed by a reception at the studios and tickets to the Indigo Girls' show that evening. Hosted by Eric Hodge.
Thanks to Manifold Recording Studios, Irregardless Cafe, and the North Carolina Museum of Art for making this event possible. See more details about this offer and have a look at all the other WUNC special thank-you gifts, too.
