The NC State Wolfpack will take the field tonight for their biggest game of the season to date. The Clemson Tigers are third-ranked in the national polls and an early contender for the national championship.

Wolfpack head coach Dave Doeren says his team will not have a better chance this season to prove they can compete with the best teams in the country.  He says if they want to win tonight, they'll need motivation from a sold-out crowd in Raleigh to play well

"They score a lot early in games and the kind of separate themselves by halftime..and that can't happen," Doeren says.   "We've got to stay in the game and play with some good momentum and keep it going.  Those two things are pretty critical.  Defensively, it's all going to be about not letting them have explosive plays for touchdowns."

The Tigers got several of those explosives plays last season in a 62-to-48 win at Clemson.  But the Tigers lost the last time they played in Raleigh two years ago.

Kickoff in this first ACC game for both schools is at 7:30.
