Wonder why it's hard for some to leave heroin behind? Listen to Jennifer Harris and Brandi Martinez. Both live in High Point, N.C. and both have been clean for two years. (Jennifer talks first.)

The recording also features Dr. Jim Finch, an addiction specialist in Durham, N.C.

The number of heroin overdose deaths in the North Carolina has quadrupled in just a few years. These interviews are a part of a series of reports, Heroin in NC.
