Clinton In Greensboro
By Dave DeWitt
Former President Bill Clinton will speak in Greensboro tonight. He is appearing as part of Guilford College's Bryan Lecture Series.
Mister Clinton is the first former president to take part in the Bryan Series, but not the first head of state. Mikhail Gorbachev in 2004 and Ireland's Mary Robinson in 2006 also came to Greensboro.
The title of President Clinton's speech is "Embracing Our Common Humanity." Since leaving the White House in 2001, Mister Clinton has traveled the world promoting the efforts of his foundation. He also spent time in North Carolina in 2008 stumping for his wife Hillary during her presidential campaign.
Tickets for President Clinton's speech at the Greensboro Coliseum are still available.
