Black Soldiers In The Civil War

Host Frank Stasio talks about the experience of African American troops in North Carolina during the Civil War with Richard Reid, associate professor at Canada's College of Guelph and author of the book “Freedom for Themselves: North Carolina’s Black Soldiers in the Civil War Era” (UNC Press/2008).
