Katie Macpherson joined The State of Things as an eager intern in the fall of 2007. Originally from Rochester, N.Y., Katie ventured south to help bridge the divide between the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Duke University as a Robertson Scholar. She is currently a senior broadcast journalism major at UNC where she has reported and produced for student-run news programs. During the past two years, she was fortunate enough to intern in television and radio both in Cape Town, South Africa and Paris, France.
