Jenny Gold is an NPR Kroc fellow who is spending several months at WUNC as part of her rotation. She has already worked on NPR's National Desk and NPR online.
She worked previously at the CBS Evening News, where she was a Broadcast Associate for the medical unit- conducting interviews, doing research and story development, writing drafts of scripts and aiding in the editing process.
Jenny is from Berkeley, California, and earned a B.A. in History at Brown University. At rock station WBRU, she wrote, produced and anchored both evening newscasts and longer feature pieces. In 2004, as a volunteer for Mexfam - a Mexican affiliate of Planned Parenthood - she created a play that has been used in Mexican high schools to teach reproductive health.
Jenny received two Brown University research grants for her radio documentary about race and religion in Mississippi in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina
