Join The State of Things in Greensboro Friday May 18
Be in the audience at Triad Stage, as the State of Things goes on the air at noon on Friday May 18. It's another live show in downtown Greensboro. Reserve your seat by emailing rsvp@wunc.org. (Admission is FREE, but limited.)
Doors open at 11:30, please be in your seat before 11:45 am.
232 South Elm Street, 3rd floor Cabaret, Triad Stage. Directions.
Here's what's coming up this time...
--a look at the John Edwards trial as it winds down, with WUNC reporter Jeff Tiberii, who has been covering the trial.
--a look at how things might be turning around for the furniture industry in North Carolina with Triad journalist Justin Catanoso and a former furniture worker who is hoping to re-enter the reinvigorated industry in the Triad. (Companies are finding it cheaper to move back to the States, where the infrastructure like factories and a trained workforce already exist.)
--a listen to musicians Crystal Bright and the Silver Hands. Reviewers have a hard time describing her music, so they try to evoke a sense of mood instead, comparing her music to "dark fairy tales" and a "Coney Island sideshow."
Join us! And...we're doing these shows in Greensboro once a month. Look here for future information about the June show, too!
